Chambolle Musigny Les Borniques Amiot Servelle 2022 offers a classic expression of Pinot Noir from a revered Burgundy commune. The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru, the first vintage to be fermented in a dedicated vat, is 65% whole bunches and raised in 50% new oak. This has another unapologetically floral bouquet with black cherry, raspberry, incense, iris and dried white flower scents unfolding in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and very smooth, the new oak more tangible but commensurate with the fruit and will assimilate with time. There's a sense of vibrancy and energy towards the finish that bodes well for the future. Very fine.
