Marquis d`Angerville Volnay Champans 1995 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the prized Volnay Premier Cru vineyard of Les Champans in the Côte de Nuits. Once part-owned by the Dukes of Burgundy, Domaine Marquis d`Angerville is a historic Burgundy producer based in Volnay. Its vineyard holdings cover approximately 16.5 hectares, which includes a 3.98-hectare plot in Premier Cru Champans. On the 1995. "Medium red. Reticent aromas of berries, liquorice and herbs. Juicy, penetrating and intensely flavoured; brisk acidity is in harmony with the fruit. A stylish wine, rather light on its feet. Very youthful finish shows strong acidity and a slight toughness."
