With more than 500 years of history, Domaine Comte Georges de de Vogüé is one of the most famous wine producers in Chambolle-Musigny. Today the estate is headed by its 20th generation – Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, the granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé. This is an extremely well crafted Chambolle-Musigny from 2005, a legendary vintage for Burgundy. The wine is beautifully structured, marked by gentle acidity and very refined tannins. Enjoy it now.
- Good medium red. High-pitched, slightly exotic aromas of raspberry and wild mint. Sweet, silky and rich but at the same time light and lively, with lovely purity and perfume to its fruit and mint flavors. Finishes broad and seductive, with lovely lingering perfume. Firmly built, but I find this harmonious from the get-go.
