Michel Lafarge Volnay Clos des Chênes 2009 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Clos des Chênes in the Volnay commune of the Côte de Beaune. Established in the 18th century, Domaine Michel Lafarge is a family-owned wine producer based in Volnay. Currently managed by Frédéric Lafarge, the domaine has earned a distinguished reputation for crafting some of the finest, traditional Volnay wines, sourced from biodynamically cultivated vineyards. On the 2009 Clos de Chênes. "The wondrous complexity of the aromas is genuinely remarkable with its ultra-fresh, ripe and airy red berry fruit, stone, earth and spice scents. Moreover, this impressive depth continues onto the rich, full-bodied and very serious big-bodied flavours that ooze dry extract on the concentrated, intense and vibrant finish that seems to go on and on.
