Chambolle-Musigny de Vogüé 2007 is a mature village Burgundy that presents an intriguing complexity, derived from grapes sourced from some of the estate’s oldest vines. The nose exhibits a slight reduction that dissipates quickly, revealing a profound earthiness and hints of wild strawberries. On the palate, the wine showcases delicate tannins and a notable restraint, typical of this vintage. There are traces of orange peel, underpinned by a mineral backbone.
Good medium red. Musky red fruits and underbrush on the nose. Lush, creamy and sweet; very rich and smooth for this village wine but without quite the lift or refined tannins of the potentially superb 2008.
