The 2020 Château Troplong Mondot is composed of 85% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Cabernet Franc. The blend was skilfully matured, with 65% of the wine aged in new French oak, while the remaining portion developed in once-used barrels. On the nose, expect aromas of luscious plum preserves, blueberries, and cherries enveloped in a delightful chocolate coating. On the palate, the wine exhibits a full-bodied nature, brimming with vibrant energy that dances across the senses. Tightly wound layers of dark fruits, delicate floral notes, and mineral nuances unfold, held in place by exquisitely fine-grained tannins and a lively backbone.
