Sine Qua Non Icarus Grenache 1999

Sine Qua Non is the creation of pioneering winemaker, Manfred Krankl, and is a world-famous cult winery revered for producing miniscule quantities of unique Rhône-inspired wines from some of the greatest vineyards across the Central Coast. Icarus from 1999 is a blend of 80% Grenache, 18% Syrah and 2% Viognier with fruit sourced from the Alban and Stolpman vineyards. Now approaching its peak drinking window, this full-bodied, rich and decadent release, exudes charming notes of black cherry, plum and raspberry fruit with subtle hints of woodsmoke, earth and cracked black pepper.
