Achaval-Ferrer Quimera 2018 is a full-bodied Bordeaux blend from the Mendoza region of Argentina. Achaval-Ferrer was founded by Italian friends Manuel Ferrer and Tiziano Siviero, along with renowned Italian oenologist Roberto Cipresso. The group`s objective was to world-class wines from low-yielding old vines in the high-altitude terroir of Mendoza. The 2018 Achaval-Ferrer Quimera cuvée is a blend of 50% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo. "Blackberries with black truffles and violets on the nose. Full-bodied and very tight with firm, silky tannins that give this wine form and energy. Plenty of compressed and focused fruit at the end. Lots of blue fruit. Drink after 2024." James Suckling, 2020
