Domaine Jean Pascal, a family-run estate located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet, is perhaps better known for its stellar whites, given the location in one of Burgundy`s most revered white wine producing villages. However, their `Puligny-Montrachet Rouge` offers an intriguing take on red Burgundy, originating from a small 0.4-hectare plot in the Les Noyers Bret lieu-dit. Given the small size of the vineyard, the production is quite limited, which might add to the allure and exclusivity of the wine. The 2021 vintage is still in its prime youth and is a good candidate for a few years in the cellar.
