‘Silex’ is a superb white wine produced by Domaine Didier Dagueneau in the Loire Valley. It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the Saint-Andlaint hill in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The wine was aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and then bottled without fining or filtration. 2019 was a particular good vintage for the Loire Valley. The weather conditions were ideal for grape growing, with warm days and cool nights. The grapes ripened slowly and evenly, resulting in wines with good acidity and balance.
