Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré 2010 is a medium- to full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine produced by the Second Growth St-Julien property of Château Léoville Poyferré. The property has been owned by the Cuvelier family since 1920 and is today managed by Sara Lecompte Cuvelier, who took over from her uncle, Didier Cuvelier, in 2017. Through modernisation of the wine cellar and a major programme of vineyard replanting and expansion, Didier significantly raised the reputation of Léoville Poyferré, which now enjoys the status of one of the finest – and best-value – properties in St-Julien. Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré is the second wine of the property. "Packed with racy and pure cassis, blackberry and boysenberry fruit, featuring a chiselled graphite note and carried by fresh acidity through the finish. Sleek and approachable now, with an echo of charcoal at the very end." Wine Spectator, 2013
