Scott Palazzo is a brilliant producer based in the Napa Valley and his Right Bank Proprietary Red is crafted in the mould of the great Merlot-based wines of Bordeaux. The 2011 is composed of 68% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc and belies the reputation of what was considered by many as a complicated vintage. It is opulent and deep with delicious notes of black and red fruits, cedar and grilled herbs.
