Founded in 2012, Gen del Alma is the personal winemaking project of Gerardo Michelini and is just one of a wave of exciting, modern and innovative new wineries springing up in Argentina. Otra Piel is an intriguing blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon co-fermented in amphorae and egg-shaped cement tanks, with an additional 10% Pinot Noir added at a subsequent stage. It is ripe-fruited, energetic and highly mineral, with bags of wild herb fragrance, acidity and tension. Just 2,700 bottles produced.
