Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Henri Gouges is a family-owned estate currently run by cousins Pierre and Christian Gouges. Henri Gouges established the Domaine in 1925, becoming one of the first growers in Burgundy to sell wine under his own name. This particular release comes from Les Saint-Georges, arguably the best Premier Cru in Nuits-Saint-Georges. The 1998 vintage produced reds that were firm and tightly structured in their youth but are now showing their true potential.
