‘M’ is the top-flight release of Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine from the much-lauded Chilean outfit, Montes Alpha, and is only released in vintages deemed exceptional by winemaker, Aurelio Montes. From the dry and heat spike-influenced 2017 vintage, this is a ripe, full-bodied and intense wine composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Though wonderfully fruit-laden it delicately punctuated with subtle notes of tobacco, sweet spices and toasty oak.
