Luke Lambert established his eponymous winery in 2005 in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. He is known for his focus on cool-climate wines, particularly those made from Shiraz and Nebbiolo. Luke follows an artisanal approach to winemaking, emphasizing organic and biodynamic practices, as well as low-intervention techniques in the cellar. He sources his Nebbiolo wine from two different vineyards. the highland Jansz vineyard at St Andrews, with very rocky soils, and the granitic Denton vineyard. The wine is fermented using wild yeast and macerated on its skins for 40 days before pressing and ageing in a large 30-year-old barrel.
