The 2017 Saffredi is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. From a notoriously warm vintage, it offers an abundance of dense black, plumy fruit with rich seams of spice and complex savoury depth. Thanks to the vineyard’s coastal location and meticulous vineyard management, over-ripeness was avoided, and this is superbly balanced wine with admirable freshness throughout.
