The 2019 Château Le Carré is blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The wine has a medium-bodied profile, offering a sense of softness, elegance, and refinement. Its red fruit flavours are characterized by a refreshing, pristine quality. The finish reveals subtle elements of spice, espresso, mint, and mineral nuances, leaving a lasting impression of layered, sweet cherries that linger on the palate.
The 2019 Le Carré has retained its opulent and quite showy nose from barrel, but its success here is in maintaining delineation and freshness. Light floral scents emerge with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and poised, delivering fine-grained tannins and a touch of white pepper and clove toward the finish. Very fine. - Neil Martin
