Château Latour à Pomerol is one of the finest properties in Pomerol which is managed by Jean-Pierre Moueix of Pétrus and Trotanoy fame. The vineyard is now planted to 100% Merlot but had some plots of Cabernet Franc in the past. This is a very rare bottle from the 1961 vintage, which is now over 60 years old. For Bordeaux, 1961 was a legendary year with great wines produced, particularly in Pessac-Léognan, Pauillac, Saint-Julien and Pomerol.
