Jordan is an iconic California winery that is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Situated in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, it was established in 1972 by Tom and Sally Jordan, who were inspired by the great French wine producers. They often blend their Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and sometimes Malbec to create a well-rounded wine. The 2006 vintage in Alexander Valley was marked by a relatively dry winter, followed by a cool, damp spring. Summer was generally mild and consistent, allowing for balanced ripening of the grapes.
