Domaine de la Grange des Pères was founded in the early 1990s by Laurent Vaillé, who is known for his meticulous and passionate approach to winemaking. The estate has gained a cult following and its wines are highly sought-after due to their limited production and exceptional quality. The Grange des Pères Rouge is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Counoise. The grapes are grown on low-yielding, limestone-rich soils, and the vineyard management follows organic principles. The 2018 vintage offers notes of dark fruits such as blackberries, black cherries and plums, along with notes of spices, herbs and a hint of earthy minerality.
