Gilette Creme de Tete 1955

HED70498 75cl 13%
The Château Gilette Crème De Tête 1955 is an exceptional and rare dessert wine. As a part of their Crème De Tête series, this wine represents the highest quality of Sauternes produced at Château Gilette. The 1955 vintage is particularly special, as it was an outstanding year for Sauternes, with ideal weather conditions leading to excellent ripeness and the development of noble rot [botrytis cinerea] in the vineyards. The wine displays an intense, deep amber colour and complex notes of dried apricots, honey, marmalade, candied citrus peel and spices such as saffron and ginger.
