Situated in Gevrey-Chambertin, Denis Mortet is a family-owned estate run by Laurence and her two children, Clémence and Arnaud. The domaine was originally founded in 1956 by Charles Mortet with just a single hectare of vines to his name. This Gevrey Chambertin cuvée comes from their parcel in Lavaux-Saint-Jacques, a premier cru located just west of the village. 1993 was a successful red Burgundy vintage, offering wines of beautiful structure and ripe black fruit.
