Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes Domaine Dujac 2006 presents a focused aroma profile of dark cherry and raspberry, interwoven with earthy notes typical of the Gevrey terroir. The palate reveals a blend of concentrated fruit and mineral nuances, structured by firm tannins. The wine showcases depth and persistence, with an extended finish that reflects its origin. Domaine Dujac, established in 1967, is renowned for its meticulous vineyard practices and traditional winemaking techniques, ensuring each bottle represents the distinct character of its vineyard parcels. Suitable for cellaring, this wine displays its pedigree over time.
- Good dark red. Reserved but complex nose offers black raspberry, smoked meat, spicecake and minerals. Dense, serious and youthfully closed, with flavors of small wild berries and spices. Finishes with somewhat tougher tannins than the Morey premier crus and thus a bit more rustic today.

Domaine Dujac

Domaine Dujac

Founded in the late 1960s by Jacques Seysses, who purchased and renovated Domaine Graillet in Morey-St-Denis. The estate is currently run by Jacques' sons Jeremy and Alec, who farm around 17 hectares of vines across the Côte including holdings in Echezeaux, Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin and Bonnes Mares.

A natural approach is taken in the vineyard and cellar with the estate moving from organic farming to fully biodynamic in the mid 2000s, receiving their certification in 2011. The team's focus is on elegance - temperatures are controlled to keep alcohol in check and also limit malolactic fermentation while juice from the crush is fed into the cellar by gravity only without the use of pumping. The wines of Domaine Dujac represent pure, balanced expressions of their respective terroirs.
