Based in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Michel Esmonin – now renamed Domaine Sylvie Esmonin – is a family-owned Burgundy producer offering a range of wines from both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The estate comprises approximately five hectares of vineyards, of which 1.6 hectares are located in the Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jacques, where this release comes from. The 1990 vintage is in a perfect drinking window now, delivering notes of ripe black fruit, black truffle and earthy undertones.
