This is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot from a single vineyard in Rutherford renowned for its fantastic free-draining gravelly soils. Now perfectly in its drinking window, the 2005 exudes charming notes of warm blackcurrants, mulberry, cedar, leather and spice. With tannins now softened, this is a deliciously full-bodied yet smooth and elegant red to be enjoyed alongside meats and mature cheeses.
