Fonseca Vintage 1994 is a vintage Port wine produced in the Douro Valley of Portugal. From its first Vintage Port release in 1840, Fonseca has established itself as one of the preeminent producers in the region, renowned for remarkable quality and consistency. Their Vintage Ports are only released when a vintage produces outstanding wines with long term ageing potential and are composed of wines from the estates of Cruzeiro, Santo Antonio and Panascal. "Hold on to your hat. This is the best Fonseca since 1977, and it`s probably even better than that classic vintage--more like the breathtaking 1948. Mind-blowing, with masses of colour, aroma and fruit flavour. Smells like fermenting berries, boasting loads of crushed grape, violet and berry character.
