Quinta do Vesuvio is located in the heart of the Douro Superiore and has an outstanding reputation for producing exceptional wines stretching back to the 19th Century. The 2016 release is a wonderful follow-up to the excellent 2015, but perhaps just has an extra level of power and concentration. A blend of 43% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca and 17% Alicante Bouschet, with lesser parts Tinta Amarela and Sousão to add fragrance and freshness.
