Fess Parker Winery was founded in 1989 by actor Fess Parker [1924-2010], who became famous for his television roles as American frontier icons Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Based in Santa Barbara County, it remains one of the few wineries still family-owned and operated. This Pinot Noir hails from four different sites, Rio Vista Vineyard, Ashley’s, Parker West Vineyard and Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, all located in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. The wine is aged 10 months in French oak barrels, of which 21% are new. The 2019 harvest was near perfect in California and the wines are bursting with energy and tension.
