Fattoria de Felsina Berardenga Fontalloro 2009 is a full-bodied Sangiovese red wine produced in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. Established in the Castelnuovo Berardenga commune of Siena, Fattoria Fèlsina produces wines in a powerful style typical of the southern section of Chianti, where the wines are stylistically more akin to those from Montalcino. The 2009 Fontalloro is produced from old vines in the Fontalloro and Poggio al Sole vineyards in Chianti Classico, and the Casalino and Arcidossino vineyards in Chianti Colli Senesi. The wine was matured in barriques for 18-20 months, then aged in bottle for a further 8-12 months before release.
