Tenuta Terre Nere Etna Rosso Santo Spirito 2021 is a full-bodied Nerello Mascalese-based red wine from Mount Etna, Sicily. From the contrada, or cru vineyard area, of Santo Spirito on the northern slopes of Etna, which is characterised by its mineral-rich volcanic soils and high altitude. On the nose, expect aromas of red cherries, raspberries, wild herbs, and a distinct minerality. On the palate, the wine offers a medium body with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a lingering finish. "This shows notes of darker berries with red licoricey and fresh ripe peaches. Intense with hints of moist clay soil and bark undertones. Full and steady on the palate with a firm backbone of chalky tannins that go on for minutes. Lot of tension and energy. Stays long on the palate, turning to a more smooth and powdery mouthfeel.
