Terre Nere Guardiola Etna Rosso is an organic Nerello Mascalese red wine from the contrada, or `cru` vineyard area of Guardiola at around 1,000m altitude on the slope of Etna. This was the first single-site wine ever produced by Terre Nere, in 2002, and marked the beginning of a revival of the volcanic terroir of Etna, whose red wines are now globally recognised as some of the finest in Europe. "A perfumed nose of crushed red and black cherry, wet stone, whole nutmeg and lemon zest. Medium-bodied with fine, guiding tannins. Structured and expressive, with so much lovely red fruit and ground spice. The tension here gives the palate lovely energy and drive. "James Suckling, 2022
