El Jogorio is an initiative from the Cortés family who in 2010 began building a collective of top mezcal distillers from around Oaxaca. This release is produced from Tepeztate, an agave species that commonly found hanging horizontally from mountain cliffs, making it difficult to harvest. A clean and vegetal mezcal, with notes of peppercorn, wet stones, some tobacco leaves and floral undertones.
