Established in 1972 by David Stare, Dry Creek Vineyard began with the acquisition and rejuvenation of a prune orchard located across from the Dry Creek General Store. Stare played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Dry Creek Valley AVA in 1983 and was a trailblazer in planting Sauvignon Blanc in Dry Creek Valley, making it the first variety of its kind in Sonoma County to be released as Fumé Blanc. Dry Creek Vineyard is also renowned for its expertise in Zinfandel, offering a range of wines crafted from this grape. This specific 2003 Old Zinfandel has now entered an optimal stage for consumption, revealing its full depth and distinctive character.
