Laurent Fayolle Les Pontaix Crozes-Hermitage Blanc 2020 is a barrel-aged Marsanne from the Pontaix vineyard in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation of the northern Rhône. Les Pontaix is a single vineyard site behind the famous hill of Hermitage. Here organically farmed Marsanne grapes grow on 60+ year-old vines on loess soil. "The 2020 Crozes-Hermitage Les Pontaix Blanc offers up a ripe, medium-bodied, wonderfully pure profile revealing impressive peach and quince fruit as well as some spice and toasty background notes.
