Aroha is a romantic word in the Maori language of New Zealand meaning “love”. Reflective of its name, Aroha is handcrafted with passion from two unique parcels of Pinot Noir, including one of the legendary Abel clone. The 2016 is a lovely expression of Martinborough Pinot Noir that was fermented with 50% whole clusters in a combination of stainless steel and French oak before 9 months maturation in French oak barriques, of which 30% were new. Layered, silky and harmonious, this is a gorgeous wine for near to medium-term drinking.
