The sixth edition of Compass Box`s excellent blended malt "Flaming Heart", a smoky / peaty spirit with a rich thread of maltiness and baking spice running from nose to finish - here presented in a magnum sized bottle.
As with all the Compass Box releases, we`ve been given quite a lot of info about the constituent parts of this awesome blend. The single malts in the blend are Caol Ila, Deanston and Clynelish in a variety of cask finishes along with around 15% pre-blended malts added to the mix. As usual, no chill-filtration took place and the whisky was bottled at natural colour and 48.9% ABV.
