Clos L`Eglise 2005 is a full-bodied, merlot-based red wine from the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux. Clos L’Eglise is one of the oldest châteaux in Pomerol dating all the way back to the 18th century. The property was acquired by the Garcin-Cathiard family in 1997 and is currently overseen by Hélène Garcin and Patrice Levêque. "This vintage continues to impress, and the 2005 Clos L`Eglise is nothing short of stunning. Boasting a youthful ruby/plum hue as well as sensational notes of red and black currants, camphor, graphite, dried herbs, and loamy earth, it`s full-bodied, multi-dimensional, flawlessly balanced, and has a finish that won`t quit. Still not quite at full maturity, it nevertheless dishes out loads of pleasure and will shine for another 20-25 years." Jeb Dunnuck, 2020
