With the first harvest in 2007, Clos Cantenac is the relatively new Saint-Émilion project of Charlotte Krajewski (also the winemaker at Château Seraphine). The 2014 was produced from 100% Merlot that was hand-harvested block by block and matured in French oak barrels for 20 months (40% was new, 60% was 2nd use). This is a deep, rich and expressive wine, with lovely notes ripe red berries, mocha, truffle, spices and graphite. It is an excellent option for earlier drinking but has the credentials to keep a few more years.
