The organically farmed Bellavista vineyard is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. A red blend of predominantly Sangiovese with a small percentage of Malvasia Nera, lending elegant floral notes and matured for 15 months in Allier barriques (40% new). The 2011 vintage is described by the critic James Suckling as follows, `A fresh and layered red with blackberry, blueberry and mint character. Full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Minerally.`
