Ruffino Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale 1991 is a mature-vintage, full-bodied Sangiovese-based red wine from the Chianti Classico appellation of Tuscany. The flagship wine of this storied Chianti Classico estate, Riserva Ducale was created as an a homage to the wine-loving Duke of Aosta. It is a Sangiovese-based blend with smaller proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards located in the heart of Castellina in Chianti. Matured in a combination of concrete tanks, barriques and Slavonian oak barrels, this 1991 vintage exhibits notes of sweet cherry, ripe plum, chocolate and old leather, along with hints of tobacco and eucalyptus.
