Moreau-Naudet was established in the 1950s, following the marriage of Marie Naudet and René Moreau. Today, the Domaine is led by Virginie Moreau, who took over after the untimely passing of her husband, Stéphane Moreau, in 2016. Virginie has continued to uphold the family’s legacy, focusing on wines that truly reflect the character of their unique Chablis terroir.
The 2022 Chablis Valmur from Moreau-Naudet is a remarkable expression of the Grand Cru site. Known for its depth, complexity, and structure, this wine delivers exceptional balance between richness and freshness. The nose reveals intense aromas of citrus, ripe stone fruit, and delicate floral notes, all underpinned by a distinct mineral edge. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with the characteristic precision and energy of Chablis. The wine’s salty, saline qualities give it a remarkable concentration, while a subtle touch of oak adds complexity without overpowering the purity of the fruit.
