Based in Auxey-Duresses, Terres de Velle is a relatively new Burgundy producer which was established in 2009 by husband-and-wife team Sophie and Fabrice Laronze. The vineyards are ploughed and are mostly run organically. These are smart wines, offering a good range in both colours. This release comes from the Premier Cru Les Chaumées, where the couple owns a 0.2-hectare vineyard. The wine is typically aged in barrel for 12 months with a further 6 months in tank before bottling without filtering.
