A spectacular 48 year old single grain whisky from Carsebridge distillery. Carsebridge closed its doors over 35 years ago, so bottlings are becoming rarer and rarer. This handsome edition was released by Diageo as part of their Special Release series. A delicate nose of creamy vanilla, nutmeg, golden syrup and a hint of ripe forest fruits leads to a palate replete with coconut oil, ripe banana and white pepper. The finish is soft and full with a touch of toffee and a whiff of salted caramel.
