Established in 1970 by wine industry pioneer David Hohnen and his brothers Mark and Giles, Cape Mentelle was one of Margaret River`s `founding five` wineries, taking its name from the nearby Cape. In the words of the Cape Mentelle team, the Cabernet Sauvignon is "A wine that represents the pinnacle of our energies and research, the embodiment of our experimentation and exploration and the symbol of our legacy". Expect a mineral blackcurrant core with cocoa notes, spiced complexity and powdery tannins.
