The ‘Mac Forbes Hugh 2019’ is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Petit Verdot, which have been matured in seasoned oak barrels for a duration of 15 months. Displaying a deep, dark red-black colour with a crimson tinge, it suggests lovely aromas of red currants and red-to-dark cherries, intertwined with hints of dried herbs. The palate reveals a light to medium body, savoury flavours of red currant and dried herbs, complemented by nuances of dusty cedar, tobacco leaf, and spicy capsicum.
