Jean-Yves Bizot established his domaine in the village of Vosne-Romanée in 1995 and this far-from-entry-level Bourgogne Blanc is produced from vines planted in 1939 and 1940 in the lieu-dit of Les Violettes, which runs along the wall that surrounds Clos Vougeot. From the superb 2010 vintage this is now in its prime for drinking with rich yet bright notes of stone fruits, citrus, beeswax, honey and spices.
