Blue Rock is a 40-hectare property located in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma. Originally named Villa Maria, the estate was established by Italian immigrants in the 1880s but did not survive Prohibition. Now run by Kenny and Cheryl Kahn, Blue Rock produces wines true to its European roots. This release is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with small amounts of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The wine is juicy and brimming with blue fruit, complemented by a soft, well-integrated core of tannin and oak.
