Agricola Punica is a joint venture between Sardinian winery, Cantina di Santadi, and Tuscan powerhouse, Tenuta San Guido. Barrua is a brilliantly characterful wine from Isola dei Nuraghi and is made from a blend of 85% Carignano, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. It is lively and complex with delicious aromas of wild blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, tar and olive tapenade. Sumptuous and smooth on the palate, with excellent interplay of rich fruit and wild herbs, this is a fantastic example of modern Sardinian fine wine.
