Founded in 1978, the small estate of Luciano Sandrone is one of the most revered in the Langhe. The 1999 `Cannubi Boschis` is described by the Wine Spectator as follows, `Beautiful and complex nose of berry and flowers, offering notes of meat and dried spices. Full-bodied, with soft, silky tannins and a long, rich finish.`
Sandrone`s 1999 Barolo Cannubi Boschis has become much more delicate over the last few years. Still fresh and vibrant, the 1999 impresses for its total sense of harmony. The tannins are now starting to melt away, allowing the fruit to be fully expressive. Violets, lavender and blue/purplish fruit grace the finish. There is a lot to like here. - Antonio Galloni
